After more than three decades involvement in architecture, D&C and property development David retired in late 2024. Highlights of his career include the role of MD for the ARM/RPvHT joint venture that designed the National Museum of Australia, a principal role at a national architectural practice, many years at Grocon working on a range of commercial projects all with a link to community, sustainability & innovation. In the 2020s David joined Vicinity where he held the role of National Head of Design leading retail, mixed use and master planning on major sites on the eastern seaboard.

David has helped deliver solutions to intervene in the cycle of homelessness in the form of design management and involvement in the Common Ground projects in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. David was Australia’s expert on an International Energy Agency study of net zero energy solar buildings and he is a member of the Homes for Homes Victorian Housing advisory group.
