Georgina Martina Inc is a not-for-profit community-based organisation providing support and operating high security refuges for domestic and family violence services. Their service delivery model focuses on holistic support for clients impacted by domestic and family violence, mental health and substance abuse.

In 2024 they approached Architects Without Frontiers with a proposal to develop an existing single-house property into a women's crisis accommodation facility of 5 self-contained units.

In six weeks, a project team consisting of Network Partners Breathe and tract, as well as Slattery Australia and Fontic, developed a concept design and costing package, preliminary planning assessment and delivery plan.

The project was submitted for an open competitive grant through the Housing Australia Future Fund – Crisis and Transitional Accommodation Program.
