Adding new educational, accommodation and administrative facilities to an Indigenous Fijian Women’s Culture and Information Hub in Savusavu.

Phase Two of the Cakaudrove Women’s Resource Centre project adds accommodation, training and office areas to form a village complex around the completed Great Hall.

The new Stage 2 buildings will build the capacity of the Centre by providing specialist learning spaces, a teaching kitchen, office space, and short-term accommodation for women who travel from Vanua Levu and beyond.  New outdoor facilities include a native plant nursery, lovo oven and outdoor performance and ceremonial space.

These spaces will support SVTC’s ongoing Capacity Building programs for rural indigenous women in Fiji.
