Aussie Action Abroad (formerly OzQuest) and AWF Nepal Expeditions

Everest Region, Nepal

Project Leader : David Anderson
Current Status : Ongoing

Project Summary:

This project is a long running collaboration between Aussie Action Abroad (formerly Ozquest) and AWF. It offers students and professionals an opportunity to work in Nepal with local communities and support health, education, water supply and facitlity provision. The project has been delivering successful results for 8 years.

Volunteers get to work ‘hands-on’ alongside architects, builders and related professionals and with local tradesmen to construct sustainable buildings and resources. This is a real opportunity to understand local needs, resources and the adaptation of materials to suit the project.
