WHAT IS SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE ARCHITECTURE?

"It's not always a question of where are your ethics, but where is your humanity?" –Esther Charlesworth, Founding Director of Architects Without Frontiers

On the 12th February, Architecture NSW had their first Tusculum Talk for 2019 which explored socially responsible architecture. The talks were inspiring and thought provoking, with an in depth discussion on how socially responsible architecture can be achieved in both commercial practice and in the community development context.

The talk featured presentations and a panel discussion with multi-award-winning Architects, David Kaunitz of Kaunitz Yeung Architecture, Anthony Nolan of Kennedy Associates, and Esther Charlesworth, Founding Director of Architects Without Frontiers, and moderated by Dr Sam Spurr, Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Newcastle.

Thank you to Architecture NSW for hosting this important event.
