Design, Women and Housing for Melbourne Design Week 2019

Design, Women and Housing was a three-part symposium held for Melbourne Design Week. Experts in their field discussed the power and possibility that design brings to addressing the issues and questions surrounding women and housing, women and homelessness and the housing needs of Australian Indigenous women.

"Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of [themselves] and of [their] family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond [their] control."
Article 25, United Nations Universal declaration of human rights, 10 December 1948

Thank you to Sophie Dyring and Samantha Donnelly for organising this important event and to all the incredible speakers for sharing their insight and expertise.
